It's no surprise, this has been reported for at least the last few weeks outside of the mainstream press (yes, even in the so-called Liberal press). I heard reports about this on NPR last week. The BBC radio broadcasts have also talked about Islamists making plans to go to Iraq should the U.S. invade. I keep telling you guys that Fox news causes brain damage, you simply have to read other sources to get the whole truth.
Al Qaeda and other Islamic groups have been planning on sending Al -Qaeda fighters to Iraq if the U.S. invaded. It doesn't show that Al Qaeda and Iraq are linked though, it only shows that Al Qaeda will not hesitate to take on the Americans any time they have a chance. These Al Qaeda operatives are almost certainly operating independently of the Iraqi government.
This is just another example of one of the many details the Bush administration left out of our grand little war in Iraq. I hope the public is up for the shitstorm we will be experiencing in Iraq. This war ain’t going to be easy folks. I’m expecting all the gung-ho conservatives on this board to start enlisting within the next few days—America needs you!
